Data from an eventful week; and on being patriotic when everything is falling apart
I do not have much to say this week. Or, at least, not much I have not already said. I have written on much of the news already, including on: Cassidy Hutchinson’s testimony to the January 6 committee; new polling and whether the political environment is shifting left in response to Roe v Wade; and a thin analysis of voter registration data that got a lot of coverage but which made some key errors.
I am wishing a warm Fourth of July to those of you observing the Independence Day holiday tomorrow. I am not in a particularly celebratory mood, but I will be grilling bratwurst at home.
Read on for some newsletter reminders and links to other content from the last seven days.
Talk to you all next week,
Elliott
