If you’ve ever asked me for job advice, this post is for you

I am still very young and early on in my career, but that doesn’t stop people from asking me for job advice. I have had an unpublished post on the subject sitting in the Substack content management system for some time now. A few emails soliciting more advice this week prompted me to finally publish it—both so I don’t have to type the same exact thing again and so that people who are too timid to send me a message can hear from me too.

You can read the post here. I do not pretend to be a giant in my field or have the secrets to success, but if telling my story can help other upcoming data journalists and analysts improve their prospects, I am happy to oblige them by responding to their solicitations.
